Dear Sir,
RE: NCCK SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARY’S LETTER
My name is Eric currently live in Nairobi. I studied at Murang’a High School and I left with a B+. I grew up in Kayole where I met some bad companies and made me do some things I wasn’t proud of but I guess I’m through with that, I know that phase is over.

My family is comprised of four members; my mother who works as a messenger in some offices in Nairobi town, my elder brother who works in beauty and cosmetics, my sister who is currently in Standard Eight, and I.
I would like to pursue Economics because I love business and anything related to money. I like how you manage your company as I am my boss. I studied Business studies and I learned a lot about businesses which I aspire to build soon and I’m grateful. I love reading novels and making small animations but I’m still learning though.
My vision for the church and society is to help the members who are less fortunate than I am. I would feel happy paying back the favor that NCCK has offered to me.
I want to be successful in life and I know I will be so that I can spend more time with my family not worrying about little things like money or work. I want to work in Nairobi because that is where my friends are. We are always there for each other. Well, it is true what they say; two is better than one.
Before the scholarship, my school fees would pile up and I would be spending most of my time worrying that I would be sent home. It was difficult to fully concentrate on my studies until the Savior rose and held me with his hands and told me everything is going to be all right. I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me.
I want to tell you that I’m grateful for the opportunity that you offered me when I was in high school. I also plead that you would do the same at the university level so that I can pursue my career. Thank you for taking your time and listening to me may the Lord God be with you.
Yours faithfully,
Eric

Dear Sir/Madam
RE: PERSONAL STORY
I hereby great you all in Jesus’s name. First of all, I would like to thank you for supporting me since form two until I finished high school. My first gratitude goes to God because at that time I was in a hurricane not knowing where to lean on for support (school fees) when you came up to support me. This scholarship has helped me in such a way that since then, I have never been sent home for fees. Thank you all for your support and may the Almighty God bless the work of your hands as continue to bless many.

I grew up in the hands of my grandmother and aunt at Overcoming in Kakamega. My mum at that time was very sick and so they had to take care of me on her behalf. My grandmother used to sell vegetables in order to get money to cater for our needs and my education. Afterwards, my mum passed on while I was in class six and then my grandmother followed while I was in form two and later in form four, my grandfather went to be with the Lord. At the moment am staying with my aunt who does some house chores here and there to get money to cater for our needs.
I studied at Lugulu Girls High School and scored a (B plain) grade in my K.C.S.E examinations. I would like to take Nursing as a course in the University. My dream career is to become a doctor. I chose this career because I like offering help to those who need. For example; injuries, cuts and if one faints. This made me join St. John Ambulance in high school in order to have more experience in that. With so doing, I would like to expound on it by helping people even to the rest of the world. My special interest in the subject I studied is to know more about handling sick people, some of the disorders and how they are treated and all about the human body. What I would like to achieve in life is to become a doctor; more of a Neurosurgeon. I would like to work outside Africa that is USA – Network and England.
My hobbies are reading novels and drawing. My vision for church and society is to help the needy. I really pray hard for God to lead me to my success so that I can bless those who are in need. I would not like to see other orphans and needy children suffer. May the Almighty God open ways. Lastly, I would like to thank you all for your support through my high school. I request that you continue supporting me even in the university and beyond. Thanks in advance.
Yours Sincerely,
Winslet
